A non party-political body of rail users formed to ensure that rail passengers on the Airedale line enjoy the best possible train services and station facilities. The Airedale line runs from Leeds and Bradford to Skipton, serving intermediate stations of Shipley, Saltaire, Bingley, Crossflatts, Keighley, Steeton & Silsden, and Cononley. Cononley is in North Yorkshire, the remainder of the intermediate stations are in the Bradford Metropolitan area of West Yorkshire.
We campaign directly for services on the Airedale line and on the routes from Airedale to Carlisle, Morecambe, and London. We liaise with the train operators such as Northern Rail and LNER as well as Metro & Network Rail.
We have close relationships with other rail user groups, especially the Lancaster and Skipton RUG, the Wharfedale RUG, the Friends of the Settle and Carlisle Line and the Leeds-Lancaster-Morecambe Community Rail Partnership.
We also work with the Yorkshire Dales Public Transport Users Group and other groups concerned with the promotion of a quality public transport.
