The Aire Valley Rail Users Group (AVRUG) is holding their AGM on Saturday 27th   November. It will take place in Saltaire Methodist Church at 13.30 (1.30pm). Saltaire Methodist Church is on the corner of Saltaire Road and George Street, just five minutes walk from Saltaire railway station (the postcode is BD18 3HJ). Anyone who has an interest in local rail services is welcome to attend.

There will also be the annual meeting of Friends of Airedale Line. Their aim is to promote links with communities along the line. It will facilitate the adoption of local stations, through the new Northern scheme. Stations can become community hubs as well as departure points.

There will be a guest speaker, Pete Myers, from Northern Rail. He will talk about current plans for our local rail services. We will have a chance to discuss what the new Integrated Rail Plan might mean for our rail services.

This is the chance to have your say about the development of our train service and to help us build community links. Look forward to seeing you there – and do bring a friend!
